Student Housing Information
The 10/40 MTI building offers limited housing on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Students from various nations of Africa and the Middle East moving to the 10/40 Missionary Training Institute can find accommodations with other 10/40 MTI students in our 10/40 MTI building with 2 levels of dorms. The 10/40 MTI offers limited housing on a first-come, first-serve basis. Should there be no more availability in our housing, we are prepared to help you get in on the very next school term. We have worked hard to provide for you comfortable and spacious accommodations with soft beds and adequate storage for personal clothes and items.
We always encourage students to room together while at the 10/40 MTI to promote community and truly experience our missions school to the fullest. Any 10/40 MTI students who are rooming together, will be subject to monthly inspections by a mentor who will check on the physical conditions of the housing as well as support students in navigating communal living situations.
Check out our Student Housing Floor Plans
We have two dedicated floors for student dorms to accommodate male and female missionaries. Each floor has 13 beds with the option to become bunk beds should the increase of students demand it. This means we can comfortably house a total of 52 students and future missionaries each year being sent to Africa and the Middle East!
Welcome to the Busia Uganda Community
Busia is a town in the Eastern Region of Uganda, East Africa. It is the main municipal, administrative, and commercial center of the Busia District, with the district headquarters located there. Busia is at the border of Kenya, adjacent to the similarly named town of Busia, Kenya. Busia, Uganda is approximately 196 kilometers (122 mi), by road, east of Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda. The one-stop-border-post (OSBP) at Busia, is the busiest border in the Eastern African Community, with Uganda's exports through the post being valued at UShs798 billion (approximately US$220 million) in just two recent years, according to a high-ranking official of the Uganda Revenue Authority.
Other than the one-stop border crossing, there are many renown sites to see in and around Busia. There is no shortage of great churches, and you will feel comfortable with the Christian community, especially at the Busia Miracle Center Ministries. Just minutes away, is Africa's largest lake, Lake Victoria. With beautiful tropical beaches and resorts to visit, it has become one of our hotspots to get way and enjoy some R&R. Down the highway from Busia is Jinja town! Jinja is known to be the home of the "Source of the Nile". The Nile River is the water source for Egypt, Sudan and South Sudan, and it all starts in Jinja.
